Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for women is a treatment used to alleviate symptoms associated with menopause and to address long-term biological changes, such as decreased bone density, that come with aging. Menopause marks the end of a woman’s reproductive years, typically occurring in the late 40s or early 50s, and brings with it a decline in the body’s production of estrogen and progesterone. These hormones play key roles in maintaining various bodily functions, including regulating the menstrual cycle and supporting pregnancy. The reduction in these hormones can lead to symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and increased risk of osteoporosis. HRT works by supplementing the body with estrogen alone or in combination with progesterone, helping to relieve these symptoms and improve quality of life for many women.

The decision to use HRT is highly individualized, taking into account a woman’s health history, the severity of her symptoms, and her personal risk factors for heart disease, blood clots, stroke, and breast cancer. There are different forms of HRT, including oral tablets, skin patches, gels, and vaginal creams, allowing the treatment to be tailored to the needs and preferences of the individual. While HRT can offer significant benefits in terms of symptom relief and protection against osteoporosis, it is not suitable for everyone and carries potential risks. Therefore, it is crucial for women considering HRT to have a thorough discussion with their healthcare provider about the benefits and risks, to make an informed decision that aligns with their health goals and lifestyle.

The O-Shot® Procedure

The treatment begins with a simple blood draw (6-8 ccs). This blood sample is processed using a centrifuge and FDA-approved tubes to concentrate the PRP, which is then prepared for injection.

Local anesthesia and numbing cream are applied to the vaginal and clitoral areas. The PRP is injected into the clitoral glans and around the G-spot area. The entire injection process lasts about a minute, with minimal discomfort reported by patients.

FAQs about Aesthetic Treatments at Ridgeline Medical

Medical Weight Loss

The program is designed for adults who are looking to lose weight safely and sustainably under medical supervision. Ideal candidates include those who have struggled with traditional diets, have a body mass index that places them in an overweight or obese category, or have weight-related health conditions such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. A consultation with one of our providers will determine the best approach for your individual needs.

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists are a class of medications that work by regulating appetite, slowing gastric emptying, and improving blood sugar control. When combined with nutritional counseling and lifestyle changes, they can significantly enhance weight loss outcomes. Our clinic has these medications in stock with no shortages, and your provider will determine whether you qualify during your initial consultation.

Yes. Every patient receives one-on-one consultations with an experienced Ridgeline Medical provider. Lab work is completed at the start of the program to give your provider a complete picture of your health, and your plan is adjusted over time based on your progress and results.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for Women

Common symptoms that may point to a hormonal imbalance include hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, vaginal dryness, disrupted sleep, and decreased bone density. If you are in perimenopause or menopause and these symptoms are affecting your quality of life, a consultation with one of our providers can help determine whether HRT is right for you.

We offer several delivery methods, including oral tablets, transdermal patches, topical gels, and vaginal creams. The most appropriate form depends on your symptoms, health history, and personal preferences, all of which will be reviewed during your consultation.

HRT is not one-size-fits-all. Our providers take a thorough, individualized approach that considers your personal and family health history, risk factors for conditions such as heart disease, blood clots, and breast cancer, and the severity of your symptoms. This ensures that any treatment recommended is appropriate and monitored closely for your safety.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for Men

Andropause refers to the gradual decline in testosterone that occurs in men as they age, typically beginning in the mid-30s to 40s. This process can lead to fatigue, reduced libido, decreased muscle mass, mood changes, difficulty concentrating, and a general reduction in vitality. Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is designed to restore optimal hormone levels and improve these symptoms under close medical supervision.

The only way to confirm low testosterone is through laboratory testing. Our providers will evaluate your symptoms alongside your lab results to determine whether TRT is clinically appropriate. Treatment is never recommended based on symptoms alone.

O-Shot® for Women

The O-Shot (Orgasm Shot) is a regenerative treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood to stimulate tissue growth and improve function in the vaginal and clitoral areas. A small blood draw is processed to concentrate the PRP, which is then injected into targeted areas following the application of a local anesthetic and numbing cream. Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure, which takes approximately one minute to complete.

The O-Shot may benefit women experiencing reduced sexual sensitivity, difficulty achieving orgasm, decreased libido, vaginal dryness, pain during intercourse, urinary incontinence, or symptoms related to lichen sclerosus. Results vary by individual, and our providers will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

P-Shot® for Men

The P-Shot (Priapus Shot) is a non-surgical, PRP-based treatment designed to improve men’s sexual health and performance. It is appropriate for men experiencing erectile dysfunction, reduced penile sensitivity, decreased libido, or a decline in overall sexual confidence related to aging or other health factors. Because it uses your body’s own growth factors, it carries a low risk profile and requires no downtime.

Patients may experience increased libido and sensitivity, improved erectile function, enhanced stamina, greater sexual confidence, and in some cases a potential increase in penile size. Results develop gradually as the PRP stimulates tissue regeneration, and individual outcomes vary. Your provider will walk you through what to expect during your consultation at Ridgeline Medical.
